Back in February 2020, a Curlew Recovery Summit was organised under the patronage of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales (who had already been patron of a summit on Dartmoor Curlews in December 2018). The participants included many of those who have previously featured on the pages of Curlewcall.org in efforts to halt the decline of lowland breeding Curlew in England, as well as many representatives of government departments responsible for habitat and wildlife conservation and farming. The report on the event was carefully compiled with consultation of those present, and is presented below. A request for action and support has been prepared and supported to the government, and it is hoped that a response will become available in the near future.
